NATNET Life+ project promotes biodiversity conservation

In southwestern Lapland, Finland, areas outside the Natura 2000 sites are mostly commercial forests influenced by mining, peat industry and building activities. At the same time, these areas are highly valuable due to their unique biodiversity. The NATNET project, as a part of METSO program, provides new possibilities for the forest owners to promote nature conservation.
