High conservation value forests in the Barents Region
The BPAN II phase project focused on identifying high conservation value forests (HCVFs) in the Barents Region. In addition, changes from 2013 to 2015 in the amount of protected areas in the study area were evaluated.
Connectivity analysis between the valuable areas is recommended for future use of the project data.
The results are based on large-scale GIS analyses and other data such as national forest inventories.
The results are published as a report (EN) and as results in brief (EN & RU).
